Lakeville Trinity Church

Meet Our Church Staff!

Senior Pastor,  Richard McCartney, Gloria, & Joshua

Pastor McCartney and his family came to Lakeville Trinity Church in December of 2001. Having graduated from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1983, he has been in the ministry 26 years.

During his years of ministry, Pastor McCartney has served as a youth pastor, associate pastor, nationally appointed home missionary with the Assemblies of God, and senior pastor. Currently in addition to being a senior pastor, Pastor McCartney is also serving on the Indiana District Assemblies of God Ministry Board as a Presbyter.

Pastor McCartney's first love after God, is his wife and son. For recreation, he enjoys racquetball, walking, bicycling and eating. Of course, as Pastor McCartney states:
"There's only two types of food that I like . . . hot and cold!"

Please feel free to contact Pastor McCartney at PastorMcCartney@agchurches.org

Youth Pastor, Barry Curtis

Pastor Barry comes to Lakeville Trinity Church with a lot of experience having served as youth pastor, associate pastor, senior pastor and church planter here in Indiana.

Pastor Barry is excited as he sees the potential in the youth of Lakeville and the surrounding areas. With lots of ideas, creativity, energy and wisdom (that comes with having teenagers of his own), he challenges you to come and check out D.C.I. on Thursday nights, 7:00 p.m. here at Lakeville Trinity Church.

Please feel free to contact Pastor Barry at PastorBarry@agchurches.org

Articles & Resources for Church Workers

  • Starting a Greeter Program
Four years ago I accepted the challenge of evangelism chairperson for our church. One of the first programs the pastor and I developed was the Sunday morning greeter program.
  • Motivating the Right Person into the Right Ministry
One of the greatest challenges for most leaders is selecting and motivating the right people into the right ministry positions in hopes of minimizing turnover and frustration. Even in the smaller church with limited personnel, it is important to coordinate people and ministry as much as possible.
  • “I TRIED, BUT NO ONE EVER CALLED ME”
“I tried, but no one ever called me” are painful words for a leader who has much work to do and not enough people willing to do it. These words are painful for the person who wanted to contribute, but was never called. These are also painful words for a person who is committed to helping people connect and contribute in meaningful ways within the church.
